Marlies Schrijvers is a registered nurses since 2009. In September 2015, Marlies received a doctoral degree in nursing, with a project focused on adherence and self-management in haemophilia. During her PhD project, she obtained her Masters’ degree in Nursing Science in 2013 (University Utrecht) and gained clinical experience as a haemophilia nurse in the Van Creveldkliniek. In the Summer of 2014, Marlies received a grant from the Dutch Government (ZonMw) for a project to develop an intervention focused on improving adherence to prophylaxis in haemophilia.
Since 2013, Marlies obtained experience in different European committees. Marlies is the former chair of the EAHAD nurses committee. Furthermore, she is working as a lecturer at the department of Nursing Science, Utrecht University. Marlies has the ambition to contribute to the quality of nursing care through evidence-based research.
