Fariba Baghaei (MD, PhD) is the director of the Coagulation Centre, the Comprehensive Care Centre for haemophilia and allied disorders at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. She received her medical degree from University of Gothenburg in 1995 and holds specialist training degrees in Internal medicine and Coagulation and bleeding disorders. She is a member of the steering committee of the “Swedish National registry for bleeding disorders”.
Dr Baghaei has been the president of the Nordic Haemophilia Council since 2015. She was the president of the Nordic Coagulation Meeting 2008 and is currently a member of the organization committee of the Nordic Coagulation Meeting 2021. Dr Baghaei is a member of the steering/scientific committee of the Arosenius Fund. She is an expert member of the Coagulation advisory board, External Quality Assessment in laboratory medicine in Sweden.
